Draco enters his home, tosses his keys on the table next to the door, and calls out in a sarcastic tone, "Honey, I'm home."
Upon hearing the front door open, and her husbands voice, Pansy set her most recent draft for a design aside and went to greet him. She scanned a mirror quickly as she left her workspace before heading out to the front foyer.
"Don't sound so enthused to be home darling." Despite her slightly sarcastic tone, she gave him a warm, trying smile, as she always did, everyday.
He smirks subtly as he drops his briefcase next to the door and looks up at his wife. "Well of course, I'm enthused."
He sniffs the air, before asking, "What's for dinner?"
She leaned in, giving him a light kiss on the cheek, and then turned towards the kitchen. "Grilled steak, baked potatos, sweet peas and a green salad."
She'd learnt to cook, insisting it was one thing she wanted to do herself for her husband. "Would you like a drink before you eat? It'll be a few minutes longer for the steaks."
"Mmm, I can smell it."
He furrows his brow for a second, thinking about what to drink before finally answering. "Water sounds good."
"Come tell me about your day while I finish up."
She enters the kitchen, retrieves a goblet from the cabinet, adding three ice cubes then filling it with filtered water. Setting his drink onto the counter, she turns to the stoveside grill and flips the steaks onto their other side for the last few minutes.
Draco saunters into the kitchen, and grabs the water goblet. "Just the usual. Same ol', same ol'." He takes a sip of the water and swallows. "Thanks for the water, love."
She smiles at him, nodding.
"You're welcome" Pansy says, before she reaches up and pushes a stray hair off the side of his face.
She turns back to the grill, removing the steaks and bringing them over to the pre-set dinner table.
